The Global Talent program allows young people to put their skills into practice by working in professional, international workplace as well as develop themselves personally and professionally by gaining practical skills and by experiencing a new culture. Internships are available in a variety of countries in a variety of work settings, from small start-up companies, to non-government organizations, to multinational corporations from around the world.

Global Talent internships range from 6-12 months and are offered in fields of Teaching, Marketing. The requirements for each internships varies depending on the field.

Our Internships

Teaching

COLOMBIA | INDONESIA | TURKEY

Since the inception of AIESEC, interns have made major impact in local communities by fostering cultural understanding, providing basic education and teaching a second language. These opportunities are the most common internship in the AIESEC network and are necessary for developing countries' potential. Student and recent graduates who take on teaching internships will develop strong communication skills, cross-cultural understanding and interpersonal skills.

Duration:

6-12 Months

Salary:

$0-750 USD approximately*

Requirements:

  • Native or excellent English skills

  • Previous teaching experience

General Job Description:

  • Teaching, co-teaching and hosting conversation classes weekly for children, teenagers and/or adults. Facilitating activities to engage students in English.

 

  • Preparatory lesson plans, grading students' work, marking tests and exams. Evaluating the progress of students' speaking and writing skills.

Marketing

AUSTRALIA | TURKEY

Marketing combines both creative thinking and strategic analysis. Through a Global Talent internship, students and recent graduates will develop a strong understanding of market segmentation, social media marketing, product positioning and data analysis. Those who are qualified for these opportunities can work in sales, market research or international marketing.

Duration:

6-12 Months

Salary:

$150-800 USD approximately*

Requirements:

  • 6 months of prior marketing experience

  • Market research and segmentation

  • Advertising and public relations skills

  • Customer relationship management

General Job Description:

  • Conduct market research on products, industry trends and potential customers in target countries and regions. provide recommendations and reports for entering new markets.

 

  • Create, execute and analyze a marketing campaign for certain products for various target audiences. 

 

  • Prospect, initiate and manage sales relations with clients. Create and propose sales proposals or contracts for prospective clients.

Eligibility Requirements

To become an "Exchange Participant" for the Global Talent Program, students must be:

1. Between 18 to 30 years of age.

2. A current student or recent alumnus within 2 years of graduating from a Canadian university.

3. Skilled in the specific area they apply for (Teaching and/or Marketing)

4. Open-minded about new cultures and experiences

Expectations

To become an "Exchange Participant" for the Global Talent Program, students must:

1. Be obligated to match within 3 months (will get $50 reimbursement if matched within 3 months).

2. Attend our Outgoing Preparation Seminar.

3. Engage with the AIESEC Local Committee here and abroad.

4. Be open to opportunities we have available.

5. Assist the Exchange Participant Manager in finding opportunities online.

6. Complete survey about exchange experience.

Weekly Time Commitment

An "Exchange Participant" must fulfill these weekly commitments in order to go on an exchange:

Applying to AT LEAST 5 Internships

Complete approximately 1-3 Interviews for different projects or jobs.

Follow up with applications and interviews

This fee includes:

  • Access to AIESEC's global database of internships

  • Support from the AIESEC local committee in Canada and abroad

  • Cultural preparation seminars in Canada and host country

  • Subsidized accommodations and food in host country (varies by internship)

  • Support in Visa application process (if visa is applicable)
